God
We believe that God eternally exists in three Persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit-and that these three are one God, having the same nature, attributes, and perfections, and worthy of the same worship, reverence and obedience. Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Genesis 3:22; Psalms 90:2; Matthew 28:19
The Bible
We believe in the verbal inspiration and inerrancy of the Scriptures and the authority of both the Old and New Testaments. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because God inspires it, it is the truth without error. The Bible was not written only to educate us, but to change our lives. Psalms 119:19; II Timothy 3:16
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus, the eternal Son of God, took upon Himself the form of a man by means of the virgin birth, lived a sinless life, yet retained His absolute deity, being at the same time very God and very man. Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-31; Romans 1:4
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Promise of the Father, the Comforter who indwells and places every believer in the Body of Christ, bestows spiritual gifts upon the Church and convicts the world of sin and the judgment to come. II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; Ephesians 5:18; John 14:17
Man
We believe man was created in the spiritual image of God, and called to be like HIM, but sinned and fell from grace through disobedience, and that the entire human race shares in man's lost and depraved nature. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God. This attitude, called sin, separates people from God and causes many problems in life. Genesis 1:27; Psalms 8:3-6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2
Atonement for Sin
We believe that atonement for sin was made by the sacrificial and substitutionary death of Jesus Christ. Romans 3:25; Hebrews 2:17
The Resurrection
We believe in the literal resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and His priestly intercession. John 11:25; Isaiah 53:12; 1Peter 1:3
Salvation
We believe salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that this faith is manifested in works pleasing to God. Psalm 27:1; Exodus 15:2; 2 Samuel 22:3; 2 Samuel 23:5
Indwelling of the Spirit
While all believers are in-dwelt by the Spirit of God, we believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a definite endowment of power for service and is separate from conversion. Romans 8
Ordinances of the Church
We believe that the ordinances of the church, by the command of Christ, are Water Baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper, both of which are administered to those who are born again. 1 Peter 3:21; Luke 22:19-20
Eternity
We believe in the eternal salvation of the believers and in the eternal damnation and punishment of the nonbelievers. We believe that the consummation of all things includes the visible, personal and glorious return of Jesus Christ the "Blessed Hope" of the Church. John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15
